There are a ton of options out there, so I just rolled the dice and picked one at random (something similar to this ). Now my current audio interface doesn't have MIDI ports on it, so I've been trying to find a MIDI to USB cable/adapter. Which leaves me with Option 2, connect via MIDI.
I don't think Option 1 works for me, because I'm running Catalina and Roland doesn't have any USB drivers for the X8 and Catalina (and I tried installing an old driver but that didn't work). From what I understand, there USED to be two options: 1) connect via USB and 2) connect with MIDI. I have a Roland Fantom-X8 and I'm trying to connect its MIDI functionality to Logic on my Macbook Pro.
Was wondering if someone could help me out here or has any ideas what might be the issue.
